What are in the things in this world John was talking about? Did John believed like those before him, that mans reality was not a real reality?

Probably, because he also said

It’s interesting to known that the Latin meaning for ‘idol’ is-

 ‘That Which Is Seen’

And what is that is ‘seen’?

Things that have ‘forms.’

Things that are known as  ‘appearances.’

And what did John say about ‘appearances’?

Was John trying to tell us that we are not really here and our body composed of flesh and blood is not who or what we are? Did John As those before him, believe man is a shadow?

About babarahs

I was born with an Inquiring Mind and I love all things weird. Weird like UFO'S-Mysticism-Ancient Beings-Really ODD stuff found in the Bible. I do not believe in the reality that has been handed down to me. I believe there is only one Reality....Consciousness. I was also born with a great spiritual desire ...which does NOT include any religion or their beliefs.

Excellent post Barb. Yes, even quantum physics has confirmed what the great mystics knew – that life is an illusion. It was none other than Albert Einstein who said that, “Man experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest—a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.” The secret that has been hidden from humanity down through history, then, is that all that exists is consciousness.
