What does this mean to you?
And what did Paul mean…Be not ‘conformed’…Be transformed’ and ‘renew? What did he mean? Guess we had better do some investigating of different words and their meanings.
Conformed is to, ‘agree.’ Did Paul mean that we should NOT ‘agree‘ with anything we have been taught from this world? Like who and what God is?
Next is ‘transformed.’ Looking at the first part, ‘trans’ we find it means, ‘outside the understanding.’ Was Paul saying that we should look somewhere else for our ‘understanding of God…because the worlds understanding is wrong?
And if ‘formed’ means ‘body,’ could Paul have been saying we needed to get ‘outside of the worlds ‘understanding’ of our ‘body? Of who and what it is? Was he saying we need to get ‘out from the worlds ‘understanding’ of God and us and NOT to ‘agree’ with the it’s ‘understanding?
Was Paul saying there is more to us than what we have been taught? Was he telling us that in order to find and know God we had to go ‘outside the understanding’ of the worlds beliefs? Outside of all man knows?
Was Paul, like Jesus wanting us to stop ‘agreeing’ with worlds belief and to go within for our ‘understanding”Next is the word, ‘renew.’ What does it mean and how do we do it?
Last we have the word, ‘renew.’ A meaning is to ‘restore’ and ‘restore’ is to ‘re establish.’ It is likely Paul was saying, you must ‘restore/re establish’ your ONENESS with God. And isn’t that what Jesus said? ‘I and my Father are one.’ And since Jesus said that whatever he could do, so could we,
That means we too can be ONE with God. BUT…only if we do not ‘conformed/agree’ with the worlds ‘understanding’ of who and what God is…And…who and what we are.
