needs to be understood so you can ‘know Him aright’. Example, 2+2=4. You can prove this fact…but… until you ‘know’ first hand, that 2+2=4, you can not prove it and it will do you no good. The point is, a person cannot simply ‘believe’ something, because believing will not prove anything. But if you ‘know’ the facts of why 2+2=4 then you can prove it. The same is true with God.
So how do you ‘know‘ what you have been taught about God is true? How do you even know there is a God…if you can’t or don’t ‘know’ IT? Think, is there a real God…or just someone’s belief. Someones opinion? How do YOU know? How do you know there is a God?
Do you understand what the word ‘know‘ means? Or do you ‘think’ you know.
To know is ‘to be acquainted with.’ Are you personally ‘acquainted’ with God? Or do you ‘know’ about God from others?
And ‘know‘ means, ‘to understand.’ Do you personally ‘understand‘ God? Or is your understanding, that of which you have been taught?
To ‘know’ also means, ‘to experience.’ Have you personally ‘experienced’ God? If God is something real, you should be able to ‘experience’ IT. Don’t you think?
It’s time to stop believing in the God you have been ‘taught’ about. A really good reason is because, ‘believing’ is to ‘have confidence in something without absolute proof that it is true.’ Don’t you want ‘positive proof? I do.
You are not going to get to ‘know‘ God simply by believing in Him, and the reason is, that ‘confidence’ you have of God.… is only a, ‘belief’.
A belief is an, ‘opinion’. All opinions are a ‘conclusion that certain facts, ideas, are probably true’. ‘Probably, true. Not for sure true, only probably true. So while you are believing God is real, you are really not sure. The reality is, you believe God is… ‘probably’ real.
Remember if you can not prove something…how true is it? And what good is it? God is only real if you can ‘know’ ‘understand‘ prove’ and ‘experience’ and It?
You say you believe in God, but ‘believe in’ means, ‘to be persuaded of the truth or existence of something’. You have been persuaded by family, church, books, and society to believe in God. You are ‘believing in’ God because you have been taught to. But you do not ‘know’ God. Personally.
Start now to understand who, what and where God is. How? Simple. You go directly to God, and He will direct your path to Him. He will supply you the understanding that is needed to ‘know’ Him alright.
Jesus told you two thousand years ago where to go to ‘know ‘God…and that is, “God is neither low here, nor low there, He is within you”. Jesus plainly said, ‘the kingdom of God is within YOU’. So that is where each person needs to go to ‘know’ Him. Is that where you go? You see, God is a very individual experience.
When you get within, you must be quiet. You must still your mind. You must listen, really listen because .‘God was not in the earthquake. God was not in the fire…but God was in ‘the still small voice’. God is only found in the ‘still small voice’….within your own inner Silence. In that complete stillness you are able to listen for the still, small voice of God …and hear it.
Once you hear it, you will never be he same. You will begin to really ‘know’ God, not just ‘believing’ you do, but really ‘knowing Him, aright.’
So within the complete silence of your mind, you will become acquainted with God. In that ‘stillness’ you will experience God and you will finally begin to understand God and it will not be what has been taught to you, it will be your own private oneness with God…all within you.
There is no way you can go into another for your ‘stillness.’ You cannot ‘know‘ God through anyone or anything, be they religious leaders, books, temples, churches, or anyone or anything that can be found outside of your own inner self.
To know God aright you must let go of all the outdated beliefs, the conclusion that certain facts and ideas of God that are probably true’. But with no proof.
Let go of all you have been taught and start all over, this time going straight within and there in the silence...you… LISTEN for that …still small voice of God.
Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations…” Buddha
There is only ONE way to ‘know’ God…Personally.
