Gods Image

” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

If I am an ‘image,’ what does that mean to me? To find out I guess I have some     dedective28  investigating to do.

Looking at the the word ‘image.’ we see one meaning is, ‘artificial representation that looks like a person. ’ Well, that’s interesting. In fact that’s that’s just plain, weird.

Going deeper, we find ‘artificial means, ‘deception‘ and deception is an, ‘optical illusion.’    Since an ‘illusion’ means, misleading impression of reality, then is that is saying that what we see with our eyes, is only an ‘artificial representation that looks like a person? Are  we be only   ‘optical illusions? Could that be true? Are we as a ‘person, nothing more than an ‘optical illusion?

Let’s keep going. ‘Artificial’ is a ‘copy,Reflection of Love: Narcissistic love. I created this image from a photo that I took of a flower in my garden. I used Microsoft Photodraw to help me to create this image.

A copy? What are we a ’copy’ of? A ‘copy’ means the ‘image in the mind.’ Is that what we really are, ‘copies of the images in our mind?

And if we are ‘artificial representations,‘ what are we a ‘representation‘ of? Well,  A ‘representation‘ is, ‘anything that is represented, such as an IMAGE, brought clearly to mind.’

Image is an, ‘idea‘ and an idea is a ‘conception existing in the mind.’ And a ‘conception’ means the ‘origin or beginning.’  Wow

consciousness photo: Consciousness Consciousness.jpgAgain, image is, ‘mental‘ and ‘mental‘ means, ‘occurring only in the mind.’ Are we an ‘image occurring only in our minds?’ Could you or I, as an ‘image’ be nothing more than a copy of our thoughts… brought clearly to our mind?

If an ‘image’ is a, ’mental representation existing in the mind only‘… Is that where we exist? In our minds? Image is an ‘idea.’ An ‘idea’ is a ‘thought.’ Is that what we really are? A ‘thought?

Since the Bible passage is, ‘So if God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them,’ we will now look at the word ‘likeness.’ Likeness means a ‘semblance’ and a ‘semblance’ is an, ‘unreal appearance.’ It is also the, ‘outward appearance, without any inner substance or reality.’ Likeness is an ‘assumed appearance.’

Okay…are we the ‘outcome’ of our thinking? Are we nothing more that an ‘assumed‘ being?

Picture of Sunrise - Free Pictures - FreeFoto.com Appearance means, ‘coming into view.’ And ‘ appearance’ means an,’outward showing.’

“And God said,Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness…’ So man was created in Gods IMAGE.

Okay...about those meanings, this is what it seems to be saying…As Gods image, we as the appearance are just an ‘artificial representation that only looks like a person? But in reality we are Gods Thoughts. We are Gods thoughts coming into view.

We can only exist as part of Gods thinking. Maybe that’s what Jesus meant when he said, ‘I and my Father/God are one.’ That would make sense if we are Gods thoughts. And we only THINK we are real….and that’s why the Bible tells you, ‘Awake thou that sleepth?

‘In the beginning God made us in his Image...’  and if so, then we began and are existing as images in Gods mind.

And when Jesus said, ‘All that the Father/ God has, you have.’ If we do exist as Gods thoughts, then yes, we would have all that is in Gods thinking…Wouldn’t we?

Very weird, I know. I’m going to have to give this a lot more thought.

About babarahs

I was born with an Inquiring Mind and I love all things weird. Weird like UFO'S-Mysticism-Ancient Beings-Really ODD stuff found in the Bible. I do not believe in the reality that has been handed down to me. I believe there is only one Reality....Consciousness. I was also born with a great spiritual desire ...which does NOT include any religion or their beliefs.

Nice post, as usual. The Kingdom of God is actually a kingdom of consciousness which explains your point about life being an illusion. Even people the likes of Albert Einstein have stated that life is an illusion. Therefore, man’s beliefs about God are illusory as well.
Postscript: I believe the passage about “Jesus and the Father being one” refers to the ego-personality, individual soul and cosmic oversoul of Jesus as having been fully evolved and in harmony, making Jesus a fully-aware human being with a connection to the Divine.
