god Of Our Fathers

Lord Jesus

In ancient times, the termgod was the name given to just about everything. There was a god for rain, the sun, and the crops. Some had cows they worshiped while others had statutes made of stone. This was common practice until a few of the ancient men decided to put all the gods into one god, and put this god up in the sky.

As the centuries have passed this god became the only god. Some even believe god has a long white beard and lives on a cloud, sitting on a large throne, and watches as his creation struggles to survive.

And if you didn’t believe in THIS god, he would send you to hell, where you would forever suffer. You call that LOVE? Oh well, guess most of the world does. Today that is where most people believe him to be. In the sky, in a place called Heaven.

Once the god of our fathers was placed in heaven, man then built organized Churches, with t_Preachers020  Preachers to teach the people about God from their point of view.

This man made’ god of the fathers‘ was created with human traits of good and bad. Since man has never really known nor understood God, they could only conceive of him as something like themselves.

Mans god is the ‘god of our fathers’.  And man must go to some kind of   Church Entrance     religious structure to find his god. Or man  goes to books and tapes to find out about God. Man goes to mountain tops. He sits in dark caves. No matter where man goes, he can not find the Real God…for he is looking in the wrong place. He is learning from the wrong Source.

People then and now have not gone on a personal search to see if God is real. Why wouldn’t you want to find your own answers about the mysterious cause of all things? Unless of course, you do believe that this ‘god of your fathers,‘ you bow to and plead and beg to, is the Real God.

The ‘god of our fathers’ is a  god who never seems to hear you. What a pity people find it easier to just accept what is taught to them instead of  trying to find out if what they are accepting is true or not.

The ‘god of our fathers’ is a man made god. A god made in the image and likeness of man. Like man, this god is sometimes pleased and sometimes angry. Like man, this god sometimes wants to reward and other times to take away.

Here you can see how the ‘god of our fathers’ shows his LOVE for his Son.

Think, do you really believe the Real God would let this happen? For any reason?

And what good did it do? More than 2000 years later…WHAT GOOD DID IT DO? NONE.

Maybe its time for YOU to decide on the God you want to worship and adore. An All Loving, Good God. Or the ‘god of your fathers.’  The angry, mean, killing god. That may be the reason Joshua told you,  ‘Choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served…’ Or a Real God?

About babarahs

I was born with an Inquiring Mind and I love all things weird. Weird like UFO'S-Mysticism-Ancient Beings-Really ODD stuff found in the Bible. I do not believe in the reality that has been handed down to me. I believe there is only one Reality....Consciousness. I was also born with a great spiritual desire ...which does NOT include any religion or their beliefs.

It’s amazing how some people will accept the Word of God from a total stranger or from an unknown source (like most of the Bible is) and yet not listen to the great minds of this or any other age – Einstein,as you mentioned, Gandhi, Plato or Voltaire who said that the god that people pray to was invented by man (as you said). It just proves that mankind does not have “eyes to see and ears to hear”.
